Kindness Kottage is a place to come for emergency assistance for the Mineola Independent School District residents. We offer numerous services, such as the Food Bank and Emergency Utility assistance. All Emergency utility assistance are on a financial cap per client, and is evaluated by individual to determine whether or not you are eligible for assistance. The Food Pantry and emergency assistance are available for service Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 4:00pm. There is no Saturday assistance available.The Food Pantry is sponsored by United way, various churches, and private individuals. We take donations daily. All donations are welcomed. Helpful donations would include good useable furniture, all house wares, bedding, clothes, shoes, and etc. Donations also include food, and monetary donations.All proceeds from any sales go back into the food pantry and emergency assistance program to help out our community. We are strictly a non-profit organization put together to come together as one and help out our community of residents.Call today to get your intake and evaluation to see if you qualify for assistance. Remember these services are for MISD residents only. If we can’t help you, we may be able to refer you to someone that can.
