the spirit of sharing (s.o.s.) inc., food bank has been in operation since june 1, 1988. we are an ecumenical group of churches and civic groups that have come together to help the needy of new braunfels. all food distributed is donated and all labor is volunteer. most of our donations come in as non-perishable food items. however, although we don't solicit money, we also receive monetary donations.hours of operation monday-friday1:00pm - 4:00pm(closed on holidays)every family receives the "basic bag" of food which is supplemented with canned goods and bakery and other items, depending on the number of family members. the "basic bag" contains frozen meats, 1 dozen eggs, flour, rice, sugar, beans, pasta, tomato sauce, oatmeal and peanut butter. for more information, please call.
